Good Works

One of the objectives of the Wall of the World is to help build a more humane, open and happier society. Therefore 10% of the project’s net revenue will be donated to charitable causes. The value of the 10% will be determined upon the date of the Wall of the World’s opening.

The money will be donated to organisations which pursue the following important causes:

  • protection of children’s rights
  • Improving the living conditions of the underprivileged
  • protection of human rights
  • elimination of poverty in the lesser developed areas of the world
  • charitable health care
  • protection of the rights of people with special needs and improving their living conditions
  • humanitarian aid to people in the wake of wars and terrorist acts
  • humanitarian aid in the wake of natural disasters

The project’s management has taken the decision to donate 3% of the project’s profit to the Red Cross for the improvement of the living conditions of the underprivileged, and thus set an example for others to follow in creating a united society where each member is valued and entitled to pursue new opportunities, happiness and a full life. We believe it is our duty to support the underprivileged.

The causes which will receive the remaining 7% of the project’s net revenue will be for you to decide.

1. The 7% will be proportionally divided among seven organisations, each working in one of the following areas:

    1. Protection of children’s rights
    2. Protection of human rights
    3. Elimination of poverty
    4. Charitable health care
    5. Protection of the handicapped and improvement of their living conditions
    6. Humanitarian aid in the wake of wars and terrorist acts
    7. Humanitarian aid in the wake of natural disasters.

2. Any organisation working for one of the above causes will be eligible to apply for receiving a donation. The application process will start as soon as the project membership has reached 2 million people. Please note we will be posting on this website information about the application procedure long before its actual start date, so please keep check of the page.

3. All applications will be considered by the Wall of the World’s Charity Board, and they will select the three most suitable applications in each area in accordance with the criteria set out by the Board. The criteria will be published on the website before the start of the application period.

4. These applications (a total of 3x7=21) will be put on the website for public polling. Individuals and project members will be asked to visit the website and cast their vote for the best and most suitable application for each cause. The polling will be completely transparent because every voter will be requested to indicate his or her name and country. The respective IP address will be registered and the data will be available on the website. The voting will be showed in real time on the website and will last 60 days.

5. After the votes are cast the application that received the most votes will be awarded the donation – 1% of the Wall of the World’s net revenue as of the date of the park’s unveiling.

Detailed information about the application process will be put together and published before the actual project membership reaches 2 million people.
